The passengers travelling by air have forgotten and did not take more than 4600 crores of rupees in airports and aircrafts across the country. So far, the goods at the airport are the most unique of groom's shoes, wine bottles, pressure cookers, army uniforms and handcuffs. The luggage is lying in the lost-found department of the Airport Authority of India (AAI).

AAI has released the report and informed about it. According to the report, 4689 items have been found at various airports in the country. The passengers have forgotten the goods from January one till date. The report also said that flights were not operated in the country for about 5 months. Because of this, most of the goods were found in the flights bringing Indian people from abroad. Kolkata Airport staff get leather jackets.

Army uniform and surgical gown found at Guwahati airport

In Bhubaneswar, the staff got the groom's shoes. Chennai Airport found guitars, cigarettes, laser lights and handcuffs. Army uniforms and surgical gowns were found at Guwahati airport. The most found items include mobiles, power banks, laptops, earphones, wrist watches, trimmers, purses, rings, anklets, badminton, sleeping bags and car keys.

According to the guideline, the goods are auctioned in 90 days

According to the AAI report, the damaged goods are waited for 48 hours. Then, it is disposed of. But the rest of the goods are waited for 90 days. If the owner of the goods does not make any claim in a given time, the same is auctioned.

However, a copy of the boarding pass or proof of travel is necessary to claim the lost luggage. At the same time, the goods which are being claimed are required to be informed.
